NICHOLAS RAUSCHER, 

GOLD/SILVER AGE GROUP USA SWIMMING COACH

MARCH 2025: Life Time has named Assistant Swim Coach Nick Rauscher to lead the team’s Gold and Silver age groups at its West County location in Chesterfield, MO.

USA Swimming has established youth age groups Bronze, Silver, and Gold with progressively challenging eligibility requirements. Swimmers must successfully complete timed swim tests to become a part of each level.

“Silver and Gold age group swimmers have to successfully complete the most challenging eligibility requirements of our team. These swimmers spend their practice time refining their strokes and learning competitive strategies, techniques, and maneuvers to use in competition.”

The 2024-2025 season has been exciting as the team saw its first swimmers achieve USA Swimming BB times, and one swimmer achieve a AA time (the fastest time category). Nick believes this is just the beginning of many more achievements to come.

“Our swimmers surprise us all the time. We are so proud of each and every one of them, every day and at every competition. They are some of the most dedicated young athletes we’ve known as a coaching staff, and I’m confident that their hard work will pay off as progress toward their goals.”

Life Time West County’s swim team has experienced significant growth since 2023. A team once comprised of less than 20 athletes now numbers nearly 60 members across 5 age groups.

“It’s been an amazing experience the past couple of years. I’ve been able to watch swimmers join our group out of swim lessons and progress to Gold - our most competitive age group.”

More than the excitement of competition, Nick is excited to coach and mentor young athletes.

“I feel so blessed to be a part of so many joyful moments of our swimmers’ lives. Being there to watch them reach a goal, break a time, or compete in something new is such a meaningful experience.”

Nick will continue to coach and mentor swimmers at Life Time West County in Chesterfield, MO. Nick has been on Life Time's coaching staff since 2023.
