NICHOLAS RAUSCHER INSTALLED TO AIA ST. LOUIS BOARD OF DIRECTORS
DECEMBER 2023: The American Institute of Architects St. Louis Chapter elected Nicholas Rauscher to serve on the 2024 Board of Directors. Nick's role will provide him with opportunities to provide input on chapter direction.
"I take this position seriously and consider my oath to protect the interests of the organization paramount. This is such an amazing opportunity to enact change within our organization and our region. We are excited to find ways this year to reach out and connect with the St. Louis area in ways we haven't tried while including groups and people we may never have before. We're proud to be in STL, and I hope that our hard work and enthusiasm at the helm of this organization will serve and motivate our members."
-Nick Rauscher
This achievement comes just 18 months into Nick's full-time career as a Design Professional, making him the youngest member of the board. The Associate Director title indicates he does not hold an architect's license, but he is in the process of logging hours and testing to complete licensure requirements.
"I am diligently working toward earning my license, but I know that this is a process. The ability to pass exams and accumulate hours does not indicate someone is a "good architect". It's the experience - the knowledge of the detail, ability to manage and work in teams, the surrounding knowledge of how to react when things don't go as planned. Gaining those things are equally important to me as the licensure requirements."
-Nick Rauscher
Nick was installed to his position as Associate Director in December, 2023. His term will extend to December, 2024.
